WHAT IS THE DIVE PROGRAM?

NOTE: We are preparing for our March 1, 2019 official launch. Therefore, while the info on this page is relevant, some of it is out of date. For most up-to-date information, be sure to visit BreakDiving.io.

The dive program is a system of magic we've developed to help you become more successful. With no exaggeration, no matter how successful you already are, we can help you achieve even more.

The dive program, therefore, is the backbone, bedrock, and linchpin of Break Diving. Without the dive program, there is no Break Diving.

We currently have five levels of Break Divers: Recruit, 1, 2, 3, and Elite. Recruits (like you) are those just joining us; Elite are members with Herculean life accomplishments.

When you join the dive program, you do so at the Recruit level, like everyone else. The next step is to look at the latest dive list, which is a very long list of possible life accomplishments, all broken down by level, from recruit to elite. Your first mission will be to look at the list of dives, and figure out which ones you have already accomplished, and at what levels, and... which ones you hope to accomplish. You should now have a list in your hand.

SO WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THIS LIST?

It’s simple: First, you compile the proof of what you've accomplished, submit to us, and upon objective verification, if you meet the threshold, we will upgrade you to those particular levels. Free members may verify 2 dives every year at no cost; full members may verify 5 additional dives per year at no additional charge.

Second, for those dives you haven’t yet accomplished, the dive list gives you objective and measurable goals for which to strive.

OKAY, BUT WHY WORK MY WAY UP THE LADDER?

Many reasons, and here is how it works:

First: Those who are in higher levels become the mentors and teachers to those in the lower levels. When you accomplish great things as a Break Diver, it is expected that you will give back and help those in need, and you are going to have an absolute blast helping your fellow divers--you may even get paid for it! But during each year, you are expected to volunteer at least five hours with others less fortunate and experienced than you. The idea is that we’re all in this together, and what goes around, comes around! Studies prove that volunteering makes individuals feel better about themselves, and we want you to always feel like you have something to give back.

Second: The higher your level, the cooler events you will be able to attend with others, like you, who have accomplished more. While we don’t encourage ‘clique-ish’ behavior, and while we are a inspired community of winners (i.e. ALL OF US), we do offer level-only events and community. For example, once you become a Level 1 Break Diver, you are entitled to attend Level 1 only events. And when you get to Level 3 and Elite, yes, you will be hanging out with some other pretty incredibly successful people! So while at the upper levels, it does become an exclusive club… it’s an exclusive club that you are invited to become a part of through hard work and discipline, and for no other reason.

Third: You will learn incredible things about yourself and accomplish things you never imagined possible through our program. Break Diving dive members get things done, and more than most. The accomplishment ethos and the positive encouragement we all share with one another is contagious and addicting. One person’s success becomes another’s inspiration. One person’s discouragement becomes another’s mission and duty to help overcome. Our program, and our unbelievably supportive community, and our unifying mantra of No Rules, No Excuses, No Regrets, will encourage, push, drive, and motivate you to do some pretty awesome stuff. And you will learn a great deal about yourself and lack of limitations.

Fourth: The higher your level, the greater your discounts. We are working hard to offer a long list of member benefits, not the least of which is discount relationships at various stores. For example, those who are Level 2 will receive greater discounts than those at Level 1. Further, the higher your level, the lower the price of Break Diving events. Basically, this is our way of encouraging you to succeed: the more successful you become, the higher the discounts we will give you on Break Diving events and merchandise, so that you can participate in even more of our offerings.

SOUNDS GREAT—HOW DOES THE LADDER SYSTEM WORK?

Once you have accomplished a prescribed number of level 1 dives, you become a level 1 Break Diver. Then, to move to level 2, you not only have to accomplish a prescribed number of level 2 dives, but you also need to have accomplished more level 1 dives. And so on. Once you hit Elite, you will have accomplished a few elite dives, some level 3 dives, many level 2 dives, and a huge list of level 1 dives. And all along the way, you will have been helping others with their dreams as well! End result: you will have lived a really great life, and helped others do the same, with a warm and fuzzy feeling of awesomeness ingrained deep within your soul. Doesn’t get much better than that!

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN?

Break Diving is looking for other ambitious and accomplished souls to join our ranks. While some of you may (haha) join us feeling lazy, unfocused, unambitious, and unaccomplished… do not expect to remain that way.

Once you join us, you are expected to work hard, be disciplined, make things happen, and encourage others with your amazing accomplishments.

To that end, once you join us, you will need to:

• Each year, accomplish a new dive. Whether it’s from Actor Recruit to Actor Level 1 or Stock Market Level 3 to Stock Market Elite, you must be accomplishing things regularly, or you risk being put on probation. You can arrive lazy, but you better not stay that way! :D
• Participate at the current minimum level (as defined in current Dive Handbook) in both our private and public communities.
• Write at least two inspiring or educational posts for our Break Diving Personal & Business Success Blog for the world to see.
• Regularly update your battle plan (as defined in current Dive Handbook), and post it for both private AND public community to see.
• Volunteer at least 5 hours, helping other Break Divers at levels lower than you.
• Volunteer with another not-for-profit organization at least 2 hours.
• Donate at least $10 to ANY charitable cause.



As you can see, our requirements are attainable even with the minimum of effort. But effort it will involve. But doable!

HOW CAN I GET STARTED?

Anyone can join as a recruit for free. During your first month, you will be expected to:

1. Complete the FREE Break Diving 101 Course.
2. Setup your 10-minute introductory interview with a Break Diving staff member on Skype video.
3. Introduce yourself properly in our Slack Group
4. Choose two dives from the dive list that you have already accomplished (if applicable), and send us the proof. You may only get 2 dives verified per year in the free program.
5. Determine which two additional dives you are most interested in. You may only officially pursue two dives in the free program.
6. In the #diveprogram-recruit private channel, share with us the 2 dives you are targeting this year, and how you plan to achieve them. Also write out a one-month plan to move forward towards reaching the next dive level for those particular dives. Offer some inspirational and public advice each week to others. One sentence is enough! And remember to give out tacos! :D
7. In the related community channel for those particular dives, share something inspiring or helpful with other members that will encourage them.
8. Each week, participate in the public channels as best you can.
9. At the end of each month, in the private #diveprogram-recuit channel, post your end-of-month assessment and your plan for the next month.
10. Participate (if possible) in at least one of our LIVE online / phone events, to interact with other members.



We recommend you print out this list, so you have it handy to check off as you accomplish each task.

At the end of one month, we will decide together whether you accomplished more, whether you made new friends, and whether you had a good time. If you want to continue in the free program, you may! If you wish to push on with the full program, join us by registering and become a full member. At that point, we will send you the full member kit, and then really start pushing you!

We are not your typical language program. Our mission is not really to teach you the language--it's to help you master it. You've probably heard the term: fluent.

Using psychology and proven pedagogical tools, and a huge dollop of old fashioned hard work (remember that?), plus a big chunk of friendly peer pressure, we will help you become fluent. We guarantee through our method your language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) will improve significantly, no matter how advanced you may be, as long as you stick with us for at least six months and do what we say.

Best part? The monthly fee is incredibly affordable at just $35/month to get started!

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: Our program is for serious students. Whether you are permitted to rejoin us for a second month is contingent on your performance the month prior. Most language programs accept anyone, even if you don't do the homework and don't participate, precisely because they want your money more than they want you to become fluent. Not here. We want you to become fluent so much that we keep the cost low and expect you to work hard. If you don't take it seriously, we won't take your money!

Bottom line, we want to gain the reputation as one of the most serious foreign language programs in the world. Lazy students may not be entitled to return the following month (forced hiatus) and if we give them a second chance, such students will have to pay $50/month the next time they register.

In order to avoid that, it's easy! Just make sure you complete and post the writing assignments, participate in the language chat channel, help other members (even in the other channels), show up prepared for the live classes, participate actively, and be sure to read your book (60 pages per month, minimum) and listen to the radio (multiple hours per month).

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: You are not just joining Fluency Project. You are joining Break Diving. We expect all of our Fluency Project students, i.e. you, to help others in our community who are studying your native language, and indeed, to help any of our other Break Diving members navigate this thing called life to the best of your ability. Please don't join us 'just to become fluent' and stay in your foreign language channel. We like helping people who like helping others. Don't be a language snob, ha ha.

IMPORTANT NOTE 3: When you register, you will be sent an email with a coupon for 4 group language classes. Use that coupon to register at www.breakdiving.org for four weekly group language classes. The first one MUST be next month. Your program starts NEXT month. Do not register for classes this month unless a) you want to individually pay $7.50 for each class this month, or b) you have been given permission by the staff. You can always register for as many extra classes as you like on an individual basis.

Unstoppable Artists is our artist development program.

From models, actors, singers, fine artists, and dancers to producers, directors, writers, jugglers, and investors, if you're interested in joining a group of winners on their way to the top, you've found your home. No matter how you are involved with the arts and entertainment, if you're intent is to kick some ass in this business, and if you're ready to do the work, we'd love to help.

First off, Unstoppable Artists is back (keep reading) and better than ever before! Welcome to a place of infinite inspiration, networking, and motivation, with an ever present reminder that we look very much forward to meeting you… at the top!

Some background: In 1999, after publishing “The Theatrical Juggernaut – The Psyche of the Star” (still a 5-star bestseller on Amazon), Monroe Mann created a motivational coaching firm called Unstoppable Actors, which morphed into Unstoppable Artists Business School. That school eventually became Monroe's entertainment law firm, The Law Offices of Monroe Mann. It was a really great community.

Unfortunately, the amazing "community" got lost due to four incidents:

1. Monroe's deployment to Iraq with the US Army in 2005
2. The ill-fated decision to dissolve Unstoppable Artists, trying to unsuccessfully morph the community into a law firm
3. The exciting (but distracting) process of producing and shooting his feature film, “You Can’t Kill Stephen King” with co-producer/co-director Ronnie Khalil in 2010 (which has been released in 15+ countries)
4. The five-year process of earning his PhD in psychology

Well, good news! As of March 2016, he is now Dr. Mann, having finally earned his PhD in psychology. That summer, he began creating this not-for-profit. Even cooler news: for his dissertation research, he focused on determining the decision-making processes of successful entertainers, and what he discovered… will blow your mind.

Fast forward to today: as part of Unstoppable Artists, I (Monroe) want to share what I’ve learned with others. Around summer 2016, I realized it was high time to put all of these accolades and experiences to good work, and I thought of no better way to do so than by relaunching Unstoppable Artists, and this time through the umbrella of Break Diving.

After some soul searching, I realized I needed to separate my entertainment legal work from Unstoppable Artists. A law firm has no ‘community’. Unstoppable Artists over the years most certainly DID. So I have set out to recreate the community that so many people once loved and cherished, and I’m proud to report that Unstoppable Artists has been relaunched, not only here in NY, but also worldwide!

What is Unstoppable Artists? On the surface, it’s a unique gathering place for winners in entertainment: career networking; business and legal training; psychological support; book writing get-togethers; improv, music, and stand-up practice groups; screen and tv writing writing sessions; YouTube producer get togethers; and this list goes on and on.

But it’s more than your typical entertainment community for three collective reasons:

• First, it’s run by someone who has had an undeniable measure of success in the arts and knows what it takes to move forward in this business
• Second, it’s run by someone who through both his PhD and his personal experiences, fully understands the psychology behind entertainment success and failure (and their accompanying demons)
• Third, it’s run by an entertainment attorney with an MBA and a Masters in Entrepreneurship, i.e. someone who understands how easily people can get screwed in this business, from a simple actor performance contract or a multi-national film distribution deal to simply not having a clearly delineated business or marketing plan

Put these three unique aspects together, and you’ll realize that this isn’t some lame trite run-of-the-mill waste-of-time entertainment get-together. On the contrary, it’s potentially the very thing you’ve been looking for to survive and indeed THRIVE in this business: a place to meet and interact with people who not only get the business, but also the psychology and the law, with whom you can network, become friends, and ultimately make projects together. What kind of projects? Successful projects, of course! :D

This quotation explains why one of our missions here at Break Diving focuses on introducing travel opportunities to people worldwide: if everyone traveled more and saw more of the world, there would be less prejudice, less bigotry, less narrow-mindedness, and well, more love for our fellow man.

We're so glad to have you here! If you're hardcore about sports, then this is the place to get started or expand your network by being around others who share your passions.

Every day, each of us logs online, uses hundreds of websites, and clicks "Yes, I agree" to terms of services that we never read.

How smart is that?

Answer: not very smart.

But what's to be done? Well, we all know that none of us has the time to constantly read the new or updated terms of services that we are forced to agree to in order to use online services. It's an impossibility.

And yet, as soon as you click "I agree", you have just signed a legal document. A contract. And a contract that will stand up in court. A contract that you would be appalled to know that you signed if you knew what you had actually signed.

So we suggest you read them. But you don't have the time. You probably also don't have the legal expertise either. It's a vicious circle.

Well, until now, that is: WE HERE AT THE TOS FAIRNESS PROJECT READ AND RATE THEM FOR FOR YOU.

That's what the TOS Fairness Project is: it's a rating service for those pesky, lengthy, misleading, and abusive terms of services that we are all forced to sign. We have a team of volunteer lawyers who work pro-bono to assist in creating the rating system, and also in conducting the ratings. Individual users are also afforded opportunities to share their experience working with that particular terms of service contract. The end result: you become informed; these rapacious corporations become exposed.

So before you sign another terms of service agreement, simply visit our TOSFairness.org website (coming soon), type in the URL or the Company Name, and read our quick rating from 0 - 100, with 100 being the fairest to you, the online user. Or read in more depth to get the full skinny.
